Mike Galvin is the founder and principal consultant at Komo Analytics, bringing 20 years of experience in data science, analytics, and AI. With a strong academic foundation -- a Bachelor's in Mathematics and a Master's in Computational Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology - Mike approaches every project with analytical rigor and deep technical insight.
He began his career while at Georgia Tech, where he conducted machine learning research in bioinformatics, building a strong foundation in the fundamentals of ML. He went on to apply this expertise in high-impact roles at TRX (acquired by Concur), Kabbage (acquired by American Express), and GE, where he held lead data science positions.
Before founding Komo Analytics, Mike served as an Executive Director at Kaplan. He first led Kaplan's corporate training business, designing and delivering programs in Python, data analytics, machine learning, and AI for enterprise clients. Later, as Executive Director of Analytics, he led a global team responsible for data science and machine learning, business intelligence, data engineering, and data architecture across Kaplan's largest business unit.
Mike also brings leadership experience from his 12 years of service in the United States Marine Corps, where he developed the discipline, resilience, and team-first mindset that continues to shape his work today.
